The hidden haven user map gives a visual representation of the location of the members of the forum!

A rather pointless addon to the forum functionality wise but still rather cool

You can view the map here: user_map.php or click the link from the top right hand menu.

The location is set by the field on your profile and can be added or updated here

The locations are cached so if you update your location then it may take some time for the new location to appear on the map.

Also the co-ordinates are created from the Google Maps API which goes around the whole world. As a result you should also add your country in the location area to make sure it finds the correct location, e.g. instead of just 'Newcastle' use 'Newcastle UK'

Note: the map requires a Google Maps compatible and javascript enabled browser

This will ONLY effect (or affect? ) new accounts

Multiple accounts are not allowed unless there is a reason: mainly being that two different people are sharing the same connection.

This will stay the same apart from a change in the way accounts are treated when it comes to warnings and bannings.

Both accounts, although they will be different users, will be treated as admins and mods as one. That is one warning on an account is a warning on ALL. A ban on one is a ban on ALL accounts etc.

I know this seems unfair, however in the past users have been using their friends/other halfs/flat mates/whatevers accounts to avoid bans etc.

Hello

I am getting ever increasing emails and pms from people who cannot use to see forum features.

A lot of extra content on this forum is served from an adserver - ads.spyka.co.uk

While designed for managing and displaying online advertising it is also used to serve 'extra' online and media rich content to the forum.

I urge users to either disable their ad blockers for this forum or allow ads.spyka.co.uk to be shown. The actual adverts come from another URL - pagead2.googlesyndication.com - so will continue to be blocked whilst forum content should be displayed.
